The Special Forty Third Meeting of our Association was held on 17th February, 2026 in premises of Senior Citizen Association Meeting Hall at 11.00 AM.

Minutes of the Special 43rd Meeting of Senior Citizen Welfare Association.

      Venue: Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall, HTC, Serilingampally

The Special 43rd Meeting of the Association was conducted on 17 February 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. The following discussions and resolutions were presented before the members and were unanimously approved by them.

1. Welcome Address:
The Joint Secretary, Sri K. Pandurangaiah, warmly welcomed all the members who attended the Special 43rd meeting.

2. Invitation onto the Dias:
The Joint Secretary, Sri K. Pandurangaiah, invited the Association President Sri Jayanth Kumar to preside over the meeting.
He also invited Project Officer Smt. V. Nagamalleswari of Serilingampally Circle Office and Office Assistant Sri Srikanth onto the dais.

3. Introduction:
The President introduced Project Officer Smt. V. Nagamalleswari and Office Assistant Sri Srikanth to the senior members.

4. Formation and Activities of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association:
The Association President Dr. Jayanth Kumar explained in detail the reasons for the formation of the Association and its activities as follows:
The Senior Citizen Welfare Association was established in 2018 at Serilingampally, near HUDA Trade Centre. The Association was registered on 24 September 2018 with Registration No. 1652 of 2018 by the Government of Telangana, Registration and Stamps Department.

Activities conducted by the Association include:
•   Organizing medical camps and providing health services to senior citizens and colony residents.
•   Encouraging students by presenting prizes, certificates, and medals.
•   Providing family-like support to elderly persons whose children live abroad and taking them to hospitals when necessary.
•   Conducting awareness programs on health and environmental cleanliness in the colony.
•   Organizing social service programs.
• Arranging two recreation tours every year for mental well-being of senior citizens.
•   Celebrating festivals collectively.

The President also informed that the Association has a total membership of 143 members. The building was constructed with voluntary contributions from members.

A request letter was submitted seeking financial support from GHMC so that more service activities can be conducted for society.

As per Proceedings No. UCD/GHMC/2025/382687 dated 20 January 2026, infrastructure grant of ₹50,000 and caretaker honorarium of ₹6,000 per month were sanctioned. On behalf of all senior members, the President expressed sincere gratitude to the GHMC Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Serilingampally Circle Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Project Officer and Office Assistant Sri Srikanth.

5. Message by Project Officer Smt. V. Nagamalleswari:
The Project Officer stated that currently this is the only Senior Citizen Association in Serilingampally Circle.
The Commissioner sanctioned ₹50,000 for infrastructure and ₹6,000 monthly caretaker honorarium.
To identify and recommend required infrastructure facilities, she suggested forming an Advisory Committee with the following structure:

Nominated Positions:
    1. Additional Commissioner (UCD), GHMC — Chief Advisor
    2. Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Circle — Chairman
    3. Project Officer (UCD) — Organizing Secretary-1 (Executive Secretary-1)
    4. Local Senior Citizen Association Representative — Organizing Secretary-2 (Executive Secretary-2)
    5. Local Senior Citizen Association Representative — Organizing Secretary-3 (Executive Secretary-3)

Other Positions (from Senior Citizens / NGOs / Service Organizations):
    6. Vice President — Advisory Member
    7. Secretary — Advisory Member
    8. Joint Secretary — Advisory Member
    9. Treasurer — Advisory Member
    10. Joint Treasurer — Advisory Member
    11. At least five Executive Members
She called upon members to fill positions 6 to 11 during the same meeting.

Office Assistant Sri Srikanth explained the roles and responsibilities of the committee.

6. Formation of Advisory Committee in the Presence of Project Officer:
As per the request of the Association President, the senior members unanimously elected the Advisory Committee members in the presence of Project Officer Smt. V. Nagamalleswari as follows:

After announcing the names and positions, all members present stood up and approved the committee with applause.

7. Oath Taking:
All elected members took an oath that they would work sincerely according to the Association rules, keeping aside personal interests and focusing on the needs of the Association.

8. Vote of Thanks:
The meeting concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Secretary Sri Pandurangaiah.
